Seems ok, flexible, outer shell/plastic coating is really thick but soft. It's not pure copper. It is made of CCA copper-plated aluminum and is therefore very light. It's fine for 4 gauge, but if you need to run 2 or 0 gauge you might want to stick with pure copper, and if I had to run this through my firewall I guess I'd need to reinforce that wire somehow. But for normal use, such as a junction box for an amplifier, it should be fine. Update: I've compared this to another 4 gauge audio cable I've bought before and it seems slightly smaller. In the picture, the black on the left is the real 4 gauge and the red and black on the right is the 4 gauge I bought here. This is a good wire, but there is a slight difference and I'm just trying to give you an idea of what you'll get when you buy it.
