The set is good but there is little information on flavors and coloring. Not bad overall, jars need a fireproof finish

The number of items in this set for the price makes it a good gift or starter set. The set contains everything you need to make at least 6 scented and colored candles in tins and two wicks per jar. The downsides of the kit for me are that the oils or fragrances don't have a lot of provenance information, the dyes don't have ingredients or info on what they contain, and the jars aren't fireproof. Using metal cans requires a fireproof surface or stand. They are sweet but easily heat the surface and are a fire hazard themselves. But the set is good. Dyes work well, although I'd like to know what's in them. The oil smell also seems strong, but having no source information I wasn't confident enough to use it as a pet owner. They can be used outdoors. Wick weights are not listed, but they work best when two wicks are used per can. They will stick to the decals long enough for the wax to flow inside. The levelers work well and I like the steamer. I use mine with a stainless steel kettle to melt the wax. I've noticed that the thermometer seems to be off, but I try to visually monitor the temperature until all of my wax is smooth and easy to pour. The fact that this set comes with 2 pounds of wax makes it a good set. I can say that the soy is of good quality from the colour, smell and how it pours. It works well and overall it's a good set. Would love to gift or gift it, just wish there was more information on colors and scents. It currently costs $42.99 and has everything you need to get started and have a fun project.
