I use this bottle to make sure I drink 64 ounces of water per day. The marking on the side of the bottle is very helpful to follow the process. The opening of the bottle is wide enough for my hand to go through and wash it. However, since I only use water for this bottle, only the mouthpiece is required for frequent washing. The spring effect of the drinking straw after closing and opening the bottle cap is possible due to the bending and stretching of the plastic part attached to the end of the drinking straw in relation to the bottom of the bottle. This plastic element looks hard. Hope this can continue. The instructions came with the bottle is not good. Additional photos of how the straw is used would be helpful. But it's simple enough for most people to understand. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.
