Review on 🔧 57-Piece KeLDE Sticks Repair Kit for Projects by Michael Hogate

EDIT: Tried removing the tip but it seems either glue from the gun or wands have melted around the detachable tip making it permanent. I tried heating it up but it heats up too fast to touch/remove. A bit fiddly, but still works. We've moved and lost our 40+ year old glue gun. Needed something immediately and wasn't impressed with the selection at the local craft shops. After finding a good weapon, a Hi/Lo function is possible. I saw this one with detachable tips and a bonus mini pistol for less than $20 but kept looking. I needed something with a good trigger, high temp (but wanted variable temp in case I needed to use a lower temp), good rating, and having seen the extra detachable tips I now wanted something with detachable tips. After looking at a bunch of different guns, reading reviews, and weighing up options (yes, I'm that type of buyer), I kept coming back to this as the best. Gluing corrugated plastic together and this glue gun is a beast! The big gun is hot and will warm up in less than 3 minutes. HOT but a couple of times when I accidentally hit the nozzle the silicone cap saved me. The attachments are easy to use/swap and the angled attachment allowed me to get into some tight corners. I love that there is an on/off switch because I didn't have to turn it off while building because if you leave it on long enough the gun will be hot enough and the glue will seep through the nozzle a bit. As a bonus, there was a glue stick, a silicone mat for a high-temperature gun, and a pair of pliers and a small pair of scissors! The trigger on the large gun allows you to squeeze out enough glue so you can more accurately apply a line of glue without pulling the trigger multiple times in a row (like my last gun). The stand easily slides back and slides with one finger. So if you need to get close to the object you are gluing you can do that and if you need to lower the gun quickly you can do that too. Even a small gun (low temperature) works great; It's comfortable to hold, heats up quickly, the stand is stable and easy to move, and has a good trigger to get a controlled glue line. I got lucky as my old gun would thread glue into silk like a spider) but the threads are easily removed with your fingers or the included pliers. I've used the big gun so many times I glued it in three days but the waterfall frame is ready for foam mounting and I didn't have to make multiple purchases as it was an all in one purchase at a great price . Highly recommended! If you are looking for a glue gun I highly recommend this one.
