Looks promising. - Boating and Sailing

I've seen a lot of YouTube videos of people using Total Boat/Jamestown distributor products with great success so I decided to give it a try. After many hours of preliminary work, I sprayed this paint on my 14/36 aluminum boat. I did this with two coats in a quart. It looks great and is what I was looking for for this project.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Slightly Torn

Great looking paint. The boat looks like new.

The paintwork turned out great. I did very little prep other than a pressure wash and then wiped with acetone. All seams sealed with G-Flex epoxy then spray paint diluted with 3 tablespoons of water per cup of paint. Time will tell how well it holds up. I haven't seen any other reviews with photos showing the "Earth Brown" color so I thought I'd add mine. I like it. Very dark brown.

Pros
  • High-quality assembly
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Very smooth finish with a brush

I sanded down 18 year old water deposits and algae growth on my 20ft pontoon boat and then applied 3 coats of this marine paint to both pontoons and to the pontoons. splinters Very easy to apply and stays wet long enough to smooth out any brush marks leaving the boat looking like new. Good coverage - used 3 liters of 4 ordered. After sitting in the lake for about a month I see algae growing on the pontoons but at this point wiping them off is pretty easy.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Good but not great

The color is easy to apply!

Excellent self-leveling properties of this paint. I rolled and used the brush in hard-to-reach places and it left no brush marks. It applies very well and the color looks good. I used a primer and bare aluminum dots and roughness to fill in some of the imperfections. My only concern is that, as far as I can tell, it scratches more easily than the factory paint job. This is a John boat and it was worn when I bought it and I'm sure it will show signs of wear with use as it always has.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Frequency

Camo Green is not the right color at all

The color itself appears to be strong and is holding up well although that is just a guess as it will never leave my garage. I need to repaint it now because the camouflage green was COMPLETELY off and was closer to mint green. A color that should never be on a boat. So after waiting two weeks for this to show up and paying $70 for two quarts of expensive paint I now have to buy something else to repaint. The color on the can is completely wrong.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Protection

Excellent goods! Well satisfied!

Great product! EXACTLY as described and I was also impressed with the neatness of the capping gloves, small mixing container and even the stirring stick. This paint, as other reviewers have noted, may seem liquid at first, but once you use it, it works great! You'll think it's a stain after the first coat, but don't worry! The second layer is everything! I actually decided on a third top coat as I had paint left over and thought it would be a good idea. This color actually gives an "aluminum"…

Pros
  • AVAILABLE IN EARTH BROWN, FLAT DARK EARTH, KHAKI, BLACK, WHITE, LIGHT GRAY, ARMY GREEN AND OLIVE DRAB); Sizes: quart and gallon; Coverage: 80-100 sqm/qt; 320-400 sq ft/gallon; Use above or below the waterline
Cons
  • Some small things

1959 Lone Star 14 " Fishing Boat Looks Brand New!

This paint looks great!I applied the paint with a Devilbiss 1.3 gravity gun.I also sandblasted my old boat as it had 50 year old factory paint on it.My finish before painting was like 100 grit sandpaper and the first coat dried quickly but looked stained.I was a little apprehensive at this point but the second coat looked much better and I had enough paint to take the top half of the boat off a third time.It dries very quickly and can be washed with soap and water I applied each coat about 1.5…

Pros
  • ATTRACTIVE LOW GLOSSY FINISH: Ideal for aluminum canoes, boats, pontoons, hunting and fishing boats, john boats, duck boats, hunting blinds, tree stands, ladders, boat trailers and more. Easy to make hunting camouflage
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived
