I don't know what material it's made of or why anyone even started to think it might be fit for purpose but he is very fat and LOVES to fold. You literally can't spread it out on an ironing board. I actually gave up and immediately threw it in the bin. I knew I was going to be punished as soon as I opened the package and saw this insanely thick material that looked about half what it's supposed to be to cover an ironing board, but it didn't stretch! And yet even if you try to stretch it, it will never be flat. So yeah, don't waste your time and money on this. will only lead to incredible disappointment.
