I really, really like tartan (especially Blackwatch: green, navy and black). For me it's nostalgia, because the skirts of my school uniform were of a similar cut and material. I figured I could go ahead and treat myself to this skirt. The material is ok, it's soft and warm on the outside, but it reminds me more of a blanket than a real wool garment, but I didn't expect more. I'm glad the inside is lined because the inside is pretty rough. I'm about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weigh 172.5 pounds. I'm a curvaceous girl, I wear a 34GG (UK bra) and mine have heavy bottoms. The plus size fitted my waist and hips well, but was too long and the thicker material made me look messy rather than cropped. I fixed it by cutting off almost 10 inches and hemming it to fit mid-calf for me. (I'm using scraps of fabric to make elbow patches on an old cardigan that needs fixing.) So this isn't new to me and I usually rate it on that note. I think I could get away with medium, but I wouldn't have room to play around to get the right proportions on my body. can be a great option for drawing attention to your height and lower body.
