Simple but effective. The colored pad is attached by tucking the ends into the appropriate locations. It simply pushes into the holes and stays in place. Level shifting is about putting an end to it. It is held in place by push/pull so it may require a small muscle to get it in place. After that, use it on the floor, lie on it, or use it in a chair to support your lower back. I tried the 1st level on the floor and didn't really like it. Then I tried the 2nd level and I felt it. The board is very strong. I'm 5'10, 300 pounds and it's not going anywhere. It doesn't look like all my weight has ever been on him. I need more time with this to determine the right use for me.
