I was looking for a consolidated and cheaper air quality monitor than the one I already had. . In these COVID times I wanted to measure fresh air exchange and used CO2 as a proxy. Aside from the question of which sensor is the most accurate, VIVOSUN started out very differently. According to the instructions, the calibration takes 2 hours. In my experience, it took about 24 hours to get to the same level as Aranet4. For me, his readings are close enough to give me an overview. For PM 2.5 this is a good measure to monitor if you are in fire/smoke prone areas like many California states. It was also pretty close compared to my other sensor. A calibration for 2 hours seemed appropriate. Battery Life: After a full charge, it still worked after 8 hours. However, I leave mine enabled. Readability: The display has a lot of numbers. I personally would prefer less data. Overall it does the job in a package, although not perfectly.
