CHECK IT IN POCKET, DON'T EVEN OPEN IT, I didn't and 3 out of 4 of these coils were immediately bad the bag. The motor ran poorly with them and I removed 2 new 18-5784 power supplies that were installed with them. I bought four to have one as a spare. it turned out that the one I had on the shelf as a spare failed the resistance test (showing an open instead of 275 +/- 50 ohms) on the secondary circuit, albeit STILL IN sealed twin bags! everyone has the same problem. I didn't think new parts were faulty, started to fully diagnose the engine system and found faulty new parts, but the holidays have limited my time on the boat and the return/replacement window has closed. That's the danger of buying things online because local stores run out of expensive parts. Now I don't have hundreds of dollars. I'm so disappointed as I've had good luck with Sierra products for decades, but I think quality control has been reduced to an "acceptable number of failures out front".
