This is my first running hydration vest and I am quite pleased so far. I chose a hydration vest because a back pack style for running bounces up and down and shifts around when running. I like how water and snacks are accessed right way from the front of the vest and it fits security and comfortably.First thing I was pleased about with this vest was how it seems well constructed. Stitching is very well done and materials are satisfactory. The only material I am not sure about is around the edges (you will see a close-up in the pics). I actually really like that it is a soft fleece-like material honestly (I get chafed by hydration backpacks when running from the rough edges), but not sure how the soft material will hold up. I'm just not used to seeing that type of material on running/hiking packs. Next I was thrilled it fit. I can never find any hydration belt or pack that will cinch down small enough to fit properly on me. This adjusted easily and to just the right size without compromising the proper function and fit.The pack has nice elastic to hold the extra straps when adjusted so they do not flap and the front straps can slide up or down very easily to get just the right placement of the straps/buckles. The water bottles are nice quality and do not leak, thank goodness. What I would improve is to make the water bottle pockets out of stretchy material. Unfortunately I cannot fit larger bottles in for longer runs. I do wish I could because I really like this pack a lot and wish I could take it on longer distance runs. In the pics you will see a dark blue material. This material is what many of the pockets and pouches are made of. If this material had a stretch to it, it would make this pack even better because I could fit my phone or larger energy bars in the zip pocket as well as fit bigger hydration in the front pockets and the back. You can see this in the pictures. I would like to mention it is nice (and you can see in the pic) that the zipper pocket opens even larger than it looks like. One more thing that could make a great pack even better would be to make the side adjusting straps out of an elastic type strap. It would make the pack fit more snug to ward off bouncing, while making the fit nonrestrictive to body movement and breathing. Many hydration packs do not have this, but it is just an idea that could help. Still the fit is very satisfactoryThese are just suggestions and my biggest wish is for the water pouches to be stretchy. If this product is changed to have better hydration pouches in the front I'd likely get that pack. I find the pack to do what I was expecting it to, that is to be a comfortable, well fitting, nonrestrictive and convenient solution to trail running hydration since the backpack style hydration bounces, shifts, chafes, and has no front access. Overall I am very excited about this purchase and pleased I made this choice. It will be seeing many many running miles.
