The shrimp were small compared to what I was hoping for. I have a turtle that loves shrimp but she definitely prefers large shrimp. They are smaller compared to the latest brand shrimp despite being the same species. The fish was able to eat many turtle shrimp before it could reach them due to the shrimp's small size. This size is ideal for fish or very small turtles (my turtle is 5 inches, fish are about the same). The shrimp didn't powder up in the bottom half of the container like some freeze dried foods, which is great. Shrimp powder would ruin the water clarity, which wasn't a problem for this brand. I would buy again but I might try a few other brands first to see if I can find one that makes larger shrimp.
