A faulty folding mechanism can break fingers

Before I start my review, for context, let me say that I am an avid scooter rider and have experienced 7 different scooters in my life. This is my main mode of commuting and This is the first time I've felt compelled to write a Revain review because my experience was so awful. This scooter has a major design flaw in the folding mechanism that several people have pointed out in previous posts. It's not intuitive and requires a lot of effort to fold and unfold. I was used to this form of clasp, so I was able to use it normally, but it requires more effort and manoeuvre. Yesterday, however, after unlocking and unfolding my scooter, my fingers got trapped between the scooter and the lever and were crushed when unfolding. For two excruciating minutes I tried to fold the scooter again but found my finger was caught preventing me from moving the lever down so I had to PULL my finger out and out. It was horrifying and I spent the rest of the day in agony in the ER taking X-rays of a broken bone. This scooter ended up costing a lot more than the $85 I originally paid. I won't even spend an extra $12 to return and ship this item, I'd rather just throw it away. I've already spent a day being traumatized by this, I'm not wasting any more energy. My arm takes a week to heal after this experience. Do not buy this scooter unless they have changed the way the scooters fold. There are serrated latches and two-stage safety mechanisms to look into, but this current folding mechanism is only better suited for small kid scooters because it requires less effort to fold it. Be careful! You shouldn't lose an arm or a leg over this.
