This is the second time I have bought this book to give to a friend who is interested in pearls. At the beginning of the book there is introductory information on consumables and required materials. Each chapter focuses on a specific bead stitch from the loom, giving you projects that increase in difficulty as you progress through that chapter. Many color photos inside. I think this is a good introduction as it introduces stitches that are mainly used in publications like Beadwork or Bead and Button Magazine. "Mastery Beading" can stand on its own. know to get started
