Ideal for working from home

THE GOOD: I got this right before the COVID-19 outbreak forced everyone to work from home and it was a real godsend for my wife (Windows laptop) and I (Macbook Pro). It has pretty much everything you need for a full home setup (2x Displayport, 1x Ethernet, 2x USB-A, 2x USB-C), plus plenty of USB ports. Setup is very easy as all I had to do was plug and play with my current monitors and it's absolutely better than carrying around 3-4 different dongles on my Macbook and plugging it in to work with my monitors, Set up keyboard and mouse. Finally, I love that it charges my Macbook, eliminating the need to connect a charger and dock, so just a cable to my laptop does the job. I can also triple the monitor by leaving my MacBook open on the stand. BAD: Nothing to complain about here, but there are a few things that are a bit annoying. First, the Thunderbolt cable that connects your dock to your laptop is on the front of the dock, not on the side or back, making the dock's location very inconvenient, and if you want your desk to be as tidy as i can do it that drives you crazy The cable just isn't long enough to wrap around the back or hide away, so the docking station needs to be close to your laptop. Second, as soon as you plug in your mouse, keyboard, and hard drive, you'll find that you've completely run out of USB-A ports. 1-2 more here would be excellent, although I've since switched to wireless/bluetooth so I've fixed that issue. Finally, the dock isn't very heavy, so it does move around a bit. So find a good spot and know you'll be holding it, and don't expect a lot of portability if you're putting the dock on a table.
