I first bought three to control 12v DC fridges when traveling. The block used with frozen items seems to "work" but the internal clock isn't running well, sampling is intermittent or stalled (now trying to figure out if it's the timer or something else). The data is wrong and useless. Despite this, the other two devices still work and I bought a replacement. However, I am concerned about who is using them to track high-value shipments of perishable goods. It is possible that the device should be taken out of service if the internal clock is out of sync with the computer used for programming/downloading data for more than a few seconds. The price is reasonable, so I'm still giving it four stars (with a little reluctance). UPDATE: Don't trust the battery indicator on the LCD screen. Remove the battery and check the voltage between uses or every few months. I checked the voltage on my "bad" device and found it to be 2.5V (up from 3.0V measured from a new battery). From what I've read about these batteries, they are almost dead at 2.6V, so I will replace any battery below 2.7V or use it longer than 6 months.
