This Kenyon cooktop is a spooky piece to say the least. After a few months of casual use, it started having serious problems. After a careful inspection of the interior, it turned out that the design of the device is of poor quality, all electrical wires fly and touch metal parts that become very hot during operation. In fact, these wires melted and wore out due to excessive heat. A couple of times I've treated electrical cords with an electrician, but in the end both burners died. What was surprising was that the device was plugged into a regular 120V socket according to the manufacturer's instructions. Another incredible downside to this device is the design of the power buttons (or toggles/dials). The correct way to work with these knobs is to depress them before turning them clockwise or counterclockwise to the desired setting. But the stupid manufacturer does not understand that in the real world this device is used by many idiots who will never understand that the buttons must be pressed before turning! So what does an idiot (and most people in the real world and those who have access to my kitchen fall into this category) do? They turn buttons without pressing them. The inevitable consequence: the handles are quickly damaged and the device stops working. The handle design of this device is the work of an evil and ruthless engineer. No, this is not for security purposes! Given the above cons, I made it my mission to find the perfect yet affordable hob that is bulletproof and comes with freely rotating knobs so anyone who is disabled can use them without damaging them. And I found this beauty (Cusimax 1800W stove): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B3Q8C3P/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Cusimax block is not only way cheaper than Kenyon junk, but also slowly. Wires no longer burn out and buttons work flawlessly, even for people without common sense (again, most people fall into this category). The Cusimax hob is also energy efficient. It can do the same cooking task for a fraction of the amperage (my bills have come down since swapping out the Kenyon crap for a Cusimax unit). You can also install this unit through the countertop for a cleaner, more harmonious feel (see photos from my kitchen). You will need to make a cutout approximately 12.25" x 18.75". Make sure you also have a 120V outlet installed under the countertop.
