This docking station is very nicely built, looks very nice with the USB-C cable protruding from the left side of the unit (when the ports are facing the back). The laptop must have a port on the left side to fit when you place the laptop on it (usually to give the computer a slight tilt on the keyboard) and rise above the table top to allow for air cooling. But having my apple macbook pro on the dock is counterproductive as that dock gets so hot it forces the macbook to use the fan a lot more than without it so I had to resort to putting the macbook towards mine put instead of using an older docking station. My Windows laptop (HP Elitebook) has a USB-C port on the right, so the dock cannot be placed underneath without hiding all the ports, so it doesn't have this temperature issue. but also no incline. I can't fault the docking station too much. how it works well. possible if the power supply is connected to the laptop. But will it defeat the purpose of the docking station?
