Review on 🌊 Cooper Atkins DPP400W-0-8: Waterproof Digital Pocket Test for Accurate Results by Kassandra Harris

I bought this to replace a 20 year old that was used very well. It says this will read the temperature in 6 seconds, not even close. More like 6 minutes! Okay, that's an exaggeration, but it took me almost 2 minutes to read 32' with ice water, while my alter took just over a minute. To get to the boiling water it was slightly better, taking over 90 seconds, but again the 20-year-old model took half the time. I've used it on a number of items alongside a model I bought when I was with Johnson & Wales. in the confectionery and baking program more than 20 years ago. A number of foods took longer to reach temperature, including cakes, bread, baked potatoes and half a dozen other foods. Even compared to the old dial thermometer it was about half the time slower, that was the only constant! I will look for another manufacturer's product that is accurate and immediate (or close) as Cooper definitely hasn't changed anything. but the top and buttons.
