I've used Shure mics for many years including the classic SM57, SM58 and Beta 58A. This Sennheiser e935b mic wasn't on my radar at all until I saw it for sale (priced up to the new Shure SM58 and cheaper than the Beta 58A). This mic is just amazing. It far outperforms the SM58 and even sounds cleaner and better than the Beta 58A (which I think is a better vocal mic than the SM58). The Sennheiser e935 sounds almost as good as my big Rode condenser mic, but is more focused (unidirectional and doesn't need phantom power or a pop filter). or dirty like Shures. The Sennheiser e935 is so clear you hear so much more detail. Excellent frequency response too. Both the high and low frequencies sound good and they feel flat and balanced. I'm really blown away by how good this mic sounds. I leave the Shure SM57 for drums and instruments, but the Sennheiser e935 is my new favorite mic. Wow just wow!
