It's not as strong as I would like. However, since it's only used as a bin next to the bed, it should be fine. I wouldn't recommend it for heavy-handed people, accident-prone areas, or places where it needs to be opened and closed frequently. It consists of three parts. The lid and sides fit over the jar like a decorative box holder. It's supposed to fit in a separate ring on the bottom, but not that well. It falls apart when picked up, so I only recommend this item if you don't plan on moving it from place to place. It's good enough for my purposes, but I can only give 3 stars because it's not the best product.
