Review on Natural Oxbow Essentials Adult Rat Food - Premium Rat Food for Adult Rats by Kelly Starr

I almost didn't buy this product due to a lack of reviews and I don't want other rat owners to miss out on this. I have 5 rats and I usually have to buy 2 packs of Oxbow Adult. Feed rats once a month. I decided to try this product because it is almost half the price per pound compared to a three pound bag. That's a wonderful value. The granules are the same shape as in a 3 lb bag, but are slightly thinner. My rats don't seem to mind this small difference and I haven't noticed them eating faster or slower than usual. The delivery was fast, only 3 days for me. However, the product was shipped from Nevada and had to travel a relatively short distance to where I live in California. But I had no problems with it being in the wrong state. WHY I CHOOSE OXBOW: Honestly, I keep buying Oxbow Adult Rat because my fur babies love it and I know it's good for them. All my rats, past and present, refuse to eat any other pellet food, even going so far as to hide it wherever they can to make it appear like they are actually eating it (think kids and veggies) . I stopped buying compound/non-granular foods because my rats picked one or two things they liked and ignored the rest, so I was afraid they weren't getting a balanced diet. I've never seen rats wrinkle their noses in Oxbow. I will definitely make this purchase again when I need more rat food.
