I needed collapsible scissors for the small sewing bag I carry with me for hand sewing blocks and witches. These needle scissors are the best! I like the pointed tip that makes cutting the threads easier; You can be very close to your work. Very small when folded, won't pierce my pocket and is sharp to the point. They're a bit tight when pulled apart to open, but they should be; They wouldn't want them to be free. They are also a bit stiff when cut but I think they will loosen up a bit with use. The cutting process is smooth, there are no burrs on the blades. Oh, and the blade - the actual edge is at a 90 degree angle, making it very strong. Don't try to sharpen them with a cheap "scissors sharpener" as the angle of the cutting edge is different. A flat stone is easier to sharpen; I ran a thin stone over each blade several times and now they are very sharp! I absolutely LOVE these scissors and am ordering more to have on hand whenever I need them. Highly recommended!
