Whether you walk your dog in the city at night, or especially if you take the country roads in the rural area, you can follow your dog in the dark. It might even save them if they get loose from the yard at night. Can be seen from a good distance so someone driving by should notice the light moving close by and slow down. Not to mention you can find your pet if run off at night and chase them down. I spent 2 hours one night in a trailer park several years ago trying to find my moms poodle that ran off when I opened the door. Fortunately for him there was not much traffic after 9 PM inside the park. I finally got him when he jumped in the pond and let out a few yips. Looked just like a pipe cleaner when wet, and at that point was more than willing to follow me back home to get warm. My mom still let me have it for letting him our and letting him get soaked.
