Review on Duck 394468 All Purpose Inches Silver by Seth Damain

I bought this because I used up duct tape I bought elsewhere and thought I might need more one day. When I needed more, in an emergency for (literally) Christmas, when I needed a way to temporarily hold a building's structure together until I could find a professional to fix it, this is unlikely to happen before January 2nd , but I can. In order not to even call before business hours the day after Christmas, I opened the package and tried to use it. But it did not work. Adhesive tape has a shiny side and a sticky side. This "ribbon" has a shiny side and a matte side. The matte side is NOT sticky. I tried wrapping it (around the same piece of tape 3 times) with whatever I needed to hold it in place, but it fell off immediately. I tried again, the adult son tried twice himself, without "stickiness" it's useless. We assume but can't be sure that even if it had a "sticky" side it wouldn't stick as it's much thinner than real tape. I hope my local hardware store is open tomorrow morning. This isn't the first time I've bought something from Amazon that sounds legit but turns out to be fake. I don't know why Amazon keeps sullying its good name like this.
