Just made a round trip with my dog. Two flights of 2 hours and 2 flights of 8.5 hours. My dog is a 10 lb poodle mix. That would be the limit. If your pet is larger, I do not recommend this product. I wish the inner lining was of better quality, but that's something I can easily improve on. Overall I am very satisfied, the dog feels comfortable in "backpack mode" and lies very lightly on my back. The straps are good, people write bad reviews that something is missing, they don't pay attention to how to use it.
