Review on 🍳 All-Clad D3 Stainless 10-Piece Cookware Set: Tri-Ply Stainless Steel, Professional-Grade Pots and Pans by Brittney Stone

First use - cracked handle

I bought everything - because of reputation. Everything seemed as it should be - bright, shiny, solid. The first use of a 3 liter pot for cooking rice showed a defect in the handle. Normally I wouldn't care. I have special circumstances in my life that make this little problem more than uncomfortable. Step one: I had to register for a product warranty using my US mailing address. EU is not accepted. Step Two: Use the product - in this case, make rice for my lunch. Step Three: Have a WTF moment and then call support. What you should know: All of Clad's customer service representatives are very nice and helpful on the phone. But I live outside the US, and since I bought it from a US online store that shipped it to me in Europe (yes, I even paid a very high import tax), fixing this defect is a royal pain because they do not support the guarantee in this international context and do not accept my local EU postal address. I just wanted All Clad in my kitchen. Something homegrown and made in the USA, which as an American I support. I'll try to get this warranty thing done and post an update if you're thinking about buying outside of the US - you can see what comes up. UPDATE: After a bit of tuning. From my side, the product was completely replaced. It was well made. And the pots and pans are amazing. I found myself using pots and a 3 liter pan exponentially larger than the included pans.

Pros
  • Includes: 8" and 10" pans, 2" and 3" pans with lids, 3" pan with lids and 8" pot with lids
Cons
  • Makes me angry
