Review on Texting Touchscreen Sheepskin Leather Cashmere Men's Accessories in Gloves & Mittens by Eric Smalley

Looks well made - fits quite well

Received these gloves today (23/02/19). First impressions. *Four stars because I don't know how well they will wear or if there are hidden manufacturing flaws that won't show until I start wearing them regularly. * Fit well enough. Apparently there are several ways to measure size - some of them contradicting each other. I used the palm of the dominant hand measurement and got the size 8-1/2. However, based on other reviews, I went for a size 9. It fits well in the palm of your hand and has enough flexibility to hold the handlebars. (I only need them for driving.) The fingers of the gloves feel a bit long, but the thumb and forefinger do not. I suspect hand sizes vary too much to expect a finished glove to fit perfectly. *These gloves were made in Ethiopia. (The leather is supplied by Jiashan Sunshine Leather Co. Ltd. in Zhejiang, China. Interesting name.) On the outside, they look well made. No obvious defects, such as poorly sewn seams. the leather of the right and left gloves is the same (i.e. there are no obvious differences in leather quality). I ordered cashmere/wool lined gloves and these are exactly what I received. * Using the touch screen is problematic. The touchscreen pads on the thumb, index and middle finger are correctly positioned. However, without gloves they lack dexterity. My iPhone's screen response is erratic - sometimes I can access the app and sometimes it's unresponsive. Any app (including home screen unlock) that requires a fingerprint instead of a password will be unresponsive. No wonder. But since I didn't buy these gloves for touchscreen work, it's basically not a problem for me to rate these gloves. * These gloves have a beautiful appearance - a little elegant, but not too much. They are made for temperate climates. I suspect they will keep my hands warm up to 30F but not below. They are definitely not waterproof. Care instructions are a series of prohibitions: "Do not wash, do not bleach, do not iron. If the gloves get wet, let them dry naturally. In case of severe contamination, use the services of a specialized dry cleaning of the skin. So I guess my friendly neighborhood cleaning won't be enough.
