They are exactly as stated. They don't really hold their shape like in the online demo video, but they are soft and suitable for different shaped surfaces. They're essentially odd-shaped pool noodles. I can't even imagine the gain from these things. Aside from the initial cost of each cube extruding weird shapes, I believe they can spend these things at fractions of a cent per foot. I don't think you need nearly as many forms as they provide. That's right, I only got by with blue in a few segments. You can try to save money and just buy pool noodles at your local Wal-Mart instead.
