Review on Silver Canon EOS M6 Camera Kit with 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM Lens by Jagvir Singh ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like the product, the quality didn't let me down.

Before buying, I chose between this model and a slightly more recent M50, it has a viewfinder, but few control wheels, the camera itself is a little larger. I decided that the viewfinder for my amateur purposes is less critical than a more compact body and control wheels like in prof. camera. I decided to try switching from the Sony bzk to the Canon bzk due to the availability of an affordable wide-angle zoom (Sony doesn’t have it, Fudge doesn’t have it . they do, but they are unreasonably expensive), a pancake with f2, as well as better compatibility with numerous EF lenses. Also, Canon mirrorless cameras have better controls and a touchscreen.

Pros
  • First of all, a convenient compact body and at the same time a lot of wheels for controlling parameters in manual mode and even exposure compensation! A good choice of lenses for amateur purposes: there is a wide angle and superzoom and fast fixes. There are not many native lenses, but there is an adapter for a huge fleet of EF, EF-S lenses that work like native ones. And the highlight is the availability of a speedbooster for sale, with which you can emulate the operation of a full-frame camera (bokeh and aperture).
Cons
  • - Lack of a viewfinder, the same Sony was able to place it in a body of similar size (knew about it, not critical) - Worse dynamic range compared to Sony and Fuji. Before that, I used Sony A6000 for 4 years (it still has better DD) - no possibility of charging via USB (this is a failure, for a relatively fresh camera)
