OK Preview of this item. First, there are no instructions on how the light itself works. There are instructions for the remote, but only the basics. I had to figure out through trial and error when the light was at the settings I wanted. The sensor on them is not very good. To be reliable, it must be visible and facing you directly. This puts the light right in your face if you want it to glow when you enter a room. I wanted them under the cabinets to light up the counter but I had to wave my hand to make it light up. He rarely found me near him, and if I moved, he would turn and I would wave. This is probably due to the recess under the housing, through which the sensor is not directly visible. For good reception, you must also aim the remote control directly at the sensor. Sometimes it works at close range and at an angle. I still keep them as I've found they can come in handy under my kitchen sink and on my front door. I'll try a little and see. They are bright enough if you place them in the right place, but this is also each person's personal preference. not sure yet with 3M tape and magnet.
