This is the correct 4 wire fan switch for Hunter fans
These little guys will get your 3 speed fan working after your old switch failed. Why aren't Home Depot and Lowes selling them? I only saw 3 wired switches in both places. Who knows who cares. Get them cheap in a 3-pack and stock them up in case other fan switches fail. Installation is easy for a DIYer and a beginner can do it after watching one of the thousands of YouTube videos. The connectors are labeled L-1-2-3 for easy identification, you simply plug each wire into its designated slot and you're done. It's best to solder the ends of the wires together so they're stiff enough to fit into the slots. Can't comment on durability as I've only just installed it, but it works and the price is right.
