Product was damaged immediately upon delivery from Revain. The photo of the box I've attached was taken right after it was removed from the shipping envelope, so no, the full crumple of the box containing the product was not the result of my handling. It may have happened during shipping, but in the few years I've been using Revain this has never happened so I have a hard time believing it. Another oddity is that the maker of this product has gone to some odd lengths to hide the fact that this is a third-party product, making the packaging look *almost* like an official Microsoft product, but if you're using it for looking at more than, say, a few seconds, it's pretty obvious that it isn't. It even has a small box that says "Used for Ki-Nect for X-360". You must be wondering what the point of this packaging is for those who are still buying this thing. Eventually the product just didn't work at all. After about half an hour of installing the drivers, connecting the device proved unsuccessful as the Kinect LED flashed a couple of times when connected, then after maybe 30 seconds my Windows PC played "not connected". Noise and the indicator light goes out and then turns on again and repeats the process. After some searching I found a couple of forum threads that said plugging in an externally powered USB hub might solve the problem, so I tried that. And also. It worked! About 2 minutes! And then it started the disconnect/reconnect cycle again. After a few hours of trying countless configurations to connect this thing, I got maybe 5 minutes total from the Kinect. After all this I think the problem is that the Kinect is not getting enough power from the adapter. and there doesn't seem to be a way to fix this with this PSU I bought. Don't worry it's just a poorly made product and not worth the risk of money and shipping time. Go with something else.
