I just received this yesterday and used it for the first time last night but feel compelled to write a short review already. It's a game. changer. Ever since I moved to Texas, I have suffered from terrible seasonal allergies. I've never had it in my life until now (turns out I'm allergic to a handful of trees that grow here. Funny.) Some years are worse than others, but this year is bad. For the past few weeks I've been waking up in the morning with a stuffy nose and can't breathe, blowing clumps of snot out of my nose (sorry!) and an itchy/itchy throat. First thing I do is take an allergy pill and wait for it to kick in around noon. (I've had a terrible time finding medications that work. It just sucks.) I don't know why I never thought of an air purifier. I think when I thought of air purifiers I always thought of fancy Dyson air purifiers that cost hundreds of dollars. I mean Pu rent. Does not happen. Then I found this little guy. It had great reviews, was perfect for our master bedroom (216 square feet), and was reasonably priced with inexpensive replacement filters. In desperation, I persuaded my husband to try it. It arrived yesterday (quicker than expected, hooray!). When I got home from work, I immediately unpacked it and plugged it in. They say you only have to run it on high power for 15-20 minutes to spin the room, but I put this little kid on high power with a two-hour timer and let it run. When it was time to sleep, I set the 6-hour timer to sleep. Sleep mode is great. It's a lot quieter than I expected. I still expected to hear a little bit of white noise (which doesn't bother me at all), but unless I lift my head off the pillow and really listen, I can barely hear it. And I have it on my side of the bed about 3 feet from me. Our air conditioner at home is louder than in sleep mode. If you like white noise, you could probably just turn it low and you'll be fine. It also has a button to turn off the indicator lights at night so you don't have bright lights keeping you awake if that's a problem for you. Anyway, I woke up this morning with no allergy symptoms. No one. No congestion, absolutely clean nasal passages and NO sore throats! I'm shocked. I will try to come back and update this review if my mind changes, but after the first night and the relief I FINALLY felt from my allergies this morning I give this item an absolute 5 stars. Worth every penny!
