Review on Protect Your Vehicle From Snow, Ice, And Sun With Rear Windscreen Cover by Johnny Weber

Blows Loose in Breeze

I was happy to finally find a rear window protector for my car that promised to stay on in the wind ("Windproof Magnets Design . Even the strongest winds are no match for this windshield snow covers magnetic grip!"). Very important issue for rear windshields as mine does not have a wiper blade to help hold down the cover. Unfortunately, in its first trial last night (March 8, 2019) with winds of less than 15mph, the lower (magnetically held in place) 3/4 of the protector had flipped up to the roof and the rear windshield was uncovered. Not even close to being good. although I give it 2 stars because it did install quickly and easily (and I made sure it was flat and snug across the windshield, being worried about wind getting in from the edge(s)). I'm thinking that more magnets might make the product acceptable but that's not a sure thing. I am in the process of returning this item and would not recommend its purchase to anyone that I counted as a friend.

Pros
  • Reduce the time it takes to defrost your vehicle
Cons
  • Could potentially damage the paint job on the vehicle during installation or removal
