I'm skeptical of bad product reviews. Looking back, I'd really like to believe them. When I opened the box I saw that the wood pattern was not very good. It's okay, I covered it with contact paper. Next came assembly. The directions were terrible. It doesn't even specify which screws to use in different areas. I'm glad the kids weren't home when I put this together because 4 letter words were flying out of my mouth. Another joke was that the screws were both gold and silver. Also, I'm glad I put contact paper on the pieces of wood because I'm pretty sure the really long mounting screws started cracking the wood. Having put everything together, I understand why previous reviewers left negative reviews. He's just not strong at all. The bars that support the countertop should be thicker and longer. The top was beginning to sag under the weight of the alcohol and a couple of remote controls. As for those little bottom shelves, don't even think about putting more than a pound on the shelf. They are thin as all come out. TL; DR - Do not buy this table.
