My husband is squeezing oranges in the marathon every day - busy season, we have Valencia and a umbilical tree! He does this several times a day for at least an hour. We've had the juicer for a couple of weeks and it works better than the old Black & Decker model which broke after a few years of use. It's taller so the pitcher holds more (same diameter) and the adjustable pulp strainer underneath has different sized round holes instead of square or rectangular pulp entry points, so it's a lot easier to clean! While I wouldn't say it's quiet, it's LESS noisy and less annoying when running. One direction of rotation is louder than the other. We tried putting a small piece of shelf rubber under it, which didn't help to muffle the noise. Our cats don't run out of the room but disgusted by the noise they push their ears shut, better but not quiet. I read the reviews before deciding on this product and it seems to have helped, we love it so much! The color of sea green is light green, not blue-green. It was the only color available, but it's a cute spring color!
