If you have a 1995-2001 Ford Explorer, yes you have this and yes you probably need it. Even though it was bought with brand new shocks (Monroe always makes good ones), it helped stabilize my ride and keep the rear end stable. I'm happy with it and haven't regretted it since. When you buy it, buy a small shoe with it. This will keep it a little cleaner underneath if and when you need to replace it again.
