Very nice packaging and a nice aluminum case gave a feeling of quality. It connected to my computer and was instantly recognized without the need for initialization, so it was ready to go right out of the box. However, I reformatted it to NTFS and F32, but don't do this if you intend to use it on multi-OS devices. I uploaded my 124GB portable backup photo files from the internal 1TB SSD and it took 45 minutes so not too bad. The build is pretty solid, but it turned out to be a bit heavier and thicker than I might have thought, but then again, this is a hard drive. Unlike the standard female USB input, this one had a mini SATA input, which surprised me as the cable is somewhat proprietary but easily found at Revain. All in all it's a very good device with an excellent three year warranty, should work great for backup and is good value. Portability.
