Not what I thought.
Perch inserts it so that it fits in the hole and the top doesn't stay open by itself. The metal thing on the front is too big and looks bad, and there's a huge board sticking out in the middle of the box. It doesn't appear to be for any design purpose as it's only attached to the underside.
