Great little player. My 2.5 year old loves to use it. The fact that there is an independent volume control for the mics AND that you can turn the mics up louder than the music is pretty cool. I remember having a tape recorder with a mic when I was little and the only way to hear my voice through the mic was to pause the tape. So your kid can easily use this as a mini megaphone. Maybe it's not that great now that I think about it, LOL! It has a few seconds of anti-pass, which is nice. Like any CD player, it will jump if constantly shaken. The speakers are not very good. But you know who doesn't care? I am 2.5 years old! My only suggestion for V2 is to use more traditional symbols/characters on the keys. That is - make the play button a forward triangle, make a double triangle forward. I bought another unit because it had such simple controls but I will end up leaving it because you can see the CD spinning which a 2.5 year old loves. And it has C batteries versus the other device's AA batteries, meaning it lasts longer between battery changes. Hooray!
