Good reusable alternative to paper towels

As you can imagine I haven't used paper towels in about 6 years. I sort a lot of rags. Next to the sink I have a large bin that I fill with small rags and use once or twice, then toss my dirty laundry in. I needed new ones as my old ones were falling apart (I cut up the old towels) and found these. I was happy to get something with a sewn edge that won't fall apart in the washing machine. This is a very thin cotton flannel. They don't absorb very well initially but after a wash or two they seem to be a little more absorbent as the description says so I'm sure. Countertops, sinks, etc. And all the colors are very cute. They are also large, about the size of a small washcloth. They can be used in many different ways (I'm sure you could use them in the bathroom or for personal use, not cleaning). But as an alternative to paper towels in the kitchen, I really enjoy them! Definitely recommend. I can get a second bundle so I have more before I have to do a load of laundry.
