This clay is very good in terms of abrasiveness. It effectively removes dirt from the surface without worrying about scratching the surface. Over the course of my use I have found that the clay can be used year round on a car without the need for a full refinish. Just used it on my mom's 1 year old Subaru (not stored in a garage/lots of environmental rain) and didn't have to polish the paint after words. My process was to wash to remove dirt. Then wash after spraying the entire machine with Meguiar's D1801 Wheel and Paint Iron Decon (to remove iron oxide particles). Dried and glued over the car with Pinnacle Clay. Spray with isopropyl alcohol/water 50:50. Fix the color with Graphene 303. The results were outstanding!
