This filter is suitable for older BMW boxer twin motorcycles. Most owners of these bikes are pretty picky about the oil, filters and other consumables they use on their bike. This filter is ideal for the application. The filter is of good quality, well packaged, arrived without damage. The acquisition costs are significantly lower than for the original part at the BMW dealer. Paper air filters have been proven to provide high airflow and greater filtration efficiency than filters that require cleaning and lubrication. The disposal of the paper filter does not lead to pollution, cleaning and lubrication. This is my standard air filter used on my 2001 BMW GS. Incidentally, my mileage remains at 44.2mpg throughout the life of this bike, partly because of this filter.
