Perfect air vent mount - I like the simplicity and practicality. My first vent mount was smaller and worked great on my old car. This bracket still occupies the ventilation space, and the magnet is the same. The big difference is the legs on this mount, they lift the phone away from the car. I recently bought a 2018 Toyota Prius One with a 6.1 inch touch screen. I moved my old vent mount to the new machine but the mount was almost flush with the vent and the phone (iPhone 8) was being pressed against the screen. The constant pressure on the screen either pressed buttons I didn't want to press or turned the screen off for the duration of my trip, requiring me to use my phone to control Bluetooth audio instead of the car. First world problem? Yes. Problems that needed solving? Yes! If the problem was the contact, all I needed was some sort of object to lift the phone off the screen to clear the contact. Here this vent mount with legs was the best solution for me. I prefer mounts that don't require glue and I think magnetic vent mounts are smart. I wish the metal clip was shorter, but that's bearable. I installed this bracket on the passenger center air vent, on the center air vent itself. This exact location doesn't push any buttons and is easy to find if I want to listen to CDs. The search and track buttons are on the back of the phone; uncomfortable but not blocked. At the same time, the magnet is strong and my phone doesn't flop. I hope the photos provide more information and clarify some of my statements. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would wholeheartedly recommend this mount to other touchscreen users who also enjoy using GPS in their phone. PS - You don't need to use glue on phone panels. If the phone case is not transparent, you can put a plate between the case and the phone. I have a clear case and I partially glued the sticker to the plate so that the sticker is visible from the outside but is still fully functional.
