What can I say. it is, BUT it works if you have a FIOS or something similar that comes with your house. I've used it to connect 3 routers (1 set up by my cable company and 2 that I use as WiFi gateways and extenders). If you don't use them, you'll lose several levels of signal strength to your routers. Highly recommended if your WiFi speed is below 300m/s.

Ideal for using 2 modems with 1 coax cable

If you are buying this splitter to split your coax cable to use 2 modems from one plug, that's it! My wife has a work from home job that requires her to use internet service and a modem provided by her own company, but we also need our personal internet which happens to be from the same ISP. This splitter works perfectly allowing us to use 2 different modems from the only coaxial internet socket we have in the house, no problem and no loss of speed! We have 300 Mbps and with this splitter I…

Low drag and true water protection

Spent over a month outside during Florida rainy season and never missed a hit. A lot of product for little money. Update: This thing has been installed for over 6 months and is still giving a strong signal. I installed the cable as a pro for a while so I know that while these things can go bad right out of the box or fail after prolonged harsh weather with heavy sunshine or wind driven rain, this cable has lasted so long in all of those cases . conditions, it passed the final test as the winner

It's good if you have a strong signal.

This helped, had some problems with an old splitter I believe was designed for FM radio use. When I switched to 4K TV. The picture is clearer with deeper colors. PS After using this splitter for some time, I noticed that some OTA channels don't get clear enough, they get pixelated and stuck. I was particularly interested in getting a very weak weather channel, weaker than other weak channels that I didn't find particularly interesting. one has a 6dB loss), and I was able to receive the weather…

The best OTA installation for audio and video accessories

Like so many these days. To my surprise I found a nice big antenna installed in the attic by the previous owner. I read that I can use the already installed satellite cabling for the OTA signal. Disconnect any satellite cables going to the dish and connect my RG6 from the antenna to this green 4 pin splitter. The signal actually reached the TV. Unfortunately, the runs are very long and I had significant pixelation. I tried the amp, it got worse. Long story short, after a lot of trial and error,

Holds 4 TVs without wire cutters Amplifier

This 4 way coax splitter works better than many others. The internal signal loss is very low. Of course there are losses by dividing the input power over 4 outputs. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the internal loss was low enough to still power 4 TVs from the attic antenna and provide signals for over 60 OTA channels. I was expecting that a booster amp would be required due to the long RG6 cables. The cable length from my antenna to the central wiring closet is 75 feet, and from the…

DC Pass Only for Negative Power Source (Voltage)

NOT AS DESCRIBED! This does not work with most common antenna setups with an external amplifier on the antenna. This splitter is labeled with all connections, however this is NOT the case for most users who have antenna mounted amplifiers. Most amplifiers require you to apply a positive voltage to the center conductor of your coaxial cable going to the antenna. These splitters have a diode that only passes NEGATIVE voltage from the input to one of the output ports. This means that it is not…

Great inexpensive 2-way splitter, but watch out for internal diodes.

This 2-way splitter worked great in my situation, but be aware that the splitter appears to have a few diodes that may affect its applicability in your situation. Perfect fit for mine. Setup (see photo uploaded): We have a TV below powered by an attic antenna boosted by an RCA amplifier purchased from Revain. Not all splitters are the same. This is the one to buy.

I've built and rebuilt MANY setups over the past decade and have come to the conclusion that not all splitters are created equal; Many use non-standard designs and non-standard components, and losses often exceed the 3.01 dB + insertion loss that physics dictates when splitting a signal in two in poorly designed splitters. Many of them are also non-linear over the specified frequency range, meaning some frequencies spread better than others. at least up to 1.6 GHz. In my experience, this…
