Review on Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless headphones, black by Damyanti Negi ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

Other pros (not included above): • Ozone is not expensive (I bought it for 25,000 in February for a premium, plus Amazon points). The average price for May 2022 in other stores is 29000. • Integration with Tile service. Helps you find your headphones using vibration (vibration motor in the right cup), sound and location display on the map. Other cons (do not fit above): • Cable 2.5 to 3.5. 2.5 to 3.5 cables are less common than 3.5 to 3.5. • The usb-c cable and jack 2.5 are not very conveniently located, right under the right shoulder. • From codecs only AAC and aptX (not HD). Neutral: • Sheepskin ear pads. High-quality, but do not forget that the skin does not like moisture and that it needs to be looked after. It is advisable not to play sports in them and, in general, not to sweat. I use "automotive leather care lotion" for care, otherwise the leather will crack and fade. • Operability on different platforms. Works best on macOS and Android. No complaints, there are sometimes connection problems, but this is rare. On iOS 14, the application (Sennheiser Smart Control) is a little dull (it takes a long time to load, sometimes it doesn’t see the headphones (it’s the application, the iPhone itself sees the headphones), the pairing list is not always displayed or is displayed with a long delay) - this also happens on android, but subjectively less often but the rest is ok. On Windows, there were problems with sound through bootcamp (constantly lost, but it may be in bootcamp (software for running Windows on Mac computers), and not in headphones). Not tested on Linux. • Voice assistant. As of 09202222, only Alexa is available (as I understood from the reviews, there were other assistants before), which does not work in the 2022. • Pairing devices via NFC (module in the right cup). It doesn’t work on the iPhone 12, it works on Android devices with NFC, but it doesn’t always work smoothly - sometimes you need to turn off / on the headphones or touch the phone several times. —— After 7 months of use, I do not regret the purchase. Of all these ANC headphones, I liked these the most.

Pros
  • • Contents of delivery. There is everything you need: a cable for an analog connection (jack 2.5 (with lock) to jack 3.5), a digital cable (usb c - usb c) and even an adapter from type-c to type-a. Headphones and accessories from the box are packed in a case - I took it out and went. There is no power supply for charging, but it is not strongly needed, since I think everyone has a 5V power supply and at least 0.330A (charging 5V, 330 mA according to the specification) or a USB connector. It is better to charge with a native cable, the cable from the MacBook Pro 15 2022 did not fit. • Ability to connect to analog (jack) and digital outputs (type-c). • Ability to use while charging. • Sound. Subjectively, better than the b&w px7. The bass is overstated, the tops are not enough - it is corrected through the equalizer, which is recorded in the headphones themselves. • Passive noise reduction. It dampens ambient sound well, and if you want something like a semi-closed type, you can turn on the transparency mode in ANC, but for someone the closed type will still be in the negative. • Good documentation (which is on the Internet, not paper from the kit) and even in 2022. • Voice messages are available in 2022 (02202222). • Convenient buttons on the headset itself. • The headset remembers up to eight devices and two of which can be connected at the same time, ie. the headset will “on the fly” switch between them, depending on where the signal comes from. • The equalizer, which is configured through the application, is recorded in the headphones themselves. • Replaceable ear pads. • Headphones can be connected via a cable without "turning on" them (we turn off, hold the Play button for 5 seconds and unfold - the headphones will remain "off"). This way you can use the headphones even if your battery is low or if you don't want to use the DAC and noise cancellation. • Smartpause/play mode (pause/play music when taking off/putting on headphones) works tolerably (09202222). • Build quality and materials.
Cons
  • • No moisture protection. Do not walk with them in the rain. With a hood, too, do not vilify, as they are large. • Active noise cancellation (hereinafter referred to as ANC) could be better. Basically, it dampens low frequencies well, it just slightly muffles high and medium frequencies, but due to passive noise reduction, ambient sounds are almost inaudible. A practical example is that a TV at medium volume in the next room muffles well, and if you are near the TV or a talking person, you will hear them, albeit muffled, and will not drown out the screaming children in the next room. • Heavy, but do not put much pressure on the head due to the soft ear pads. • The equalizer in the application is only three-position (09202222). • Bad microphone. The built-in macbook is much better. • The sides of the headphones are not securely closed. Sometimes the side you fold last can open, so it's best to fold the left side first, as it is responsible for turning the headphones on and off. • Not hard and voluminous cover (reminiscent of a small drum). It takes up a lot of space and is not a fact that it can protect the headphones from the effects of objects in the backpack. • The battery charge is reported with an error of 20%. That is, it is displayed that the battery charge is, for example, 60%, which means that the charge is> 40% and <= 60%. • There is noise in the headphones if you connect the headphones with a cable to the computer and turn on the noise canceling. • Sometimes it loses connection to the laptop (when listening to music is not turned on, most likely due to the fact that the laptop goes to sleep) and starts saying "Phone 2 is disconnected" every minute. • If two devices are connected, such as a phone and a computer, the headphones constantly switch between devices when notifications are received, making the two-device connection function useless. The options "Ignore notifications" and "Don't switch between devices while playing" are missing. • Sometimes playback is paused if you turn your head too far to the left (due to the smart pause function).
