The thongs are ok under active wear, but the material is weird and behaves strangely. It feels like soft latex and behaves as such. I move around a lot while working out and wanted something that could move with me. It does move with you and I almost forgot I was wearing them until I got a good sweat going. They started to slide around on top of my skin. After about 2 hours of moving around in them, they began to stretch and almost sag. I've washed them, but haven't tried them on again to see if their shape returned. These thongs are not moisture wicking, and the tiny crotch gusset doesn't help at all in this area. They do not have threaded hems, but instead, are glued (I hung mine to dry so they wouldn't fall apart). For me, the front coverage was a little less than I expected; I'd need to get a bikini wax before wearing these in front of anyone. The hip band fits well, so I know that if I sized up to get more "V" coverage, they'd sag even more. These would probably be better suited to wearing under a slinky or bodycon dress to eliminate any sign of panty lines, but they aren't great for working out.
