Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Efficient Hand-Powered Food Chopper from Chef'n - VeggiChop (Arugula) - 5.5" x 5.5" x 5 by Brady Shayotovich

Good manual vegetarian food processor.

This is a great tool for the kitchen and outdoor activities (e.g. hiking). It works just as well as my Mini Cuisinart processor. Electric-powered food processors run faster and tend to produce "smoother" chops, but this little Chef'n VeggiChop is no joke either. I use it regularly to mince or mince onions, garlic and various peppers. The first 3-6 pulls on the cable will give you oversized coarse chops. The more you pull the string, the more even the chops will be. I've found that your sliced veggies look more even after about 12 quick draws. If you want to cut vegetables, do 25-30 quick strokes. Hold the lid, blade and container under the tap and they are ready for the next use. The same goes for my Mini Cuisinart. So why do I use this tool more than an electric food processor? 1. It takes up less space on the kitchen counter.2. No time to set up. You just drop the veggies and pull the cord (first dice the veggies to the size you want! Same goes for the electric one)3. You can take it outside or even on a trip when needed. It's lighter and definitely less bulky than its electric counterpart. So far the build quality seems to be good. I pull the cable quite hard (in my experience it helps to cut and sand better) and occasionally pull it to the limit of the cable length and I can say the unit is built to withstand such handling. I would give 5 stars. but this is my first manual food processor and i don't have any other devices or experience to compare it, maybe there is something better? For now this serves my purpose and does it well! UPDATE: Upgraded from 4 stars to 5 stars. I've been using this processor for over a year and it's still working fine. My kitchen helper for processing garlic, paprika & Co. is so easy to use!
