I bought this to replace my TeckNet Classic 2.4G Portable Optical Wireless Mouse (which lasted 6 years with many hours of daily use) - this one here uses only one battery instead of two and is a newer model, is that better? nope I just got another classic mouse to replace this earlier version after a few months of use. Disadvantages compared to older/improved "classic" mouse: * no on/off switch - goes to sleep sooner or later, but always wakes up my sleeping laptop earlier. *The glue holding the elastic on the side of the thumb is leaking, I can get it everywhere. Advantages compared to the old/improved "classic" mouse: * Uses 1 AA battery instead of two * No need to remove the battery cover to store the USB stick. This mouse has a more symmetrical design compared to the "classic" mouse (doesn't matter to me, I'm right-handed).
